Jiu-Jitsu Classes In Redwood City

Ground fighting built on leverage and position rather than strength or size. Gi class runs Monday nights; No-Gi runs Tuesday through Thursday.

What You'll Learn

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches you to control someone bigger than you on the ground using position, leverage, and timing. You'll learn the guard, sweeps, escapes from bad positions, and submissions like chokes and joint locks.

Monday is Gi class, in the traditional uniform, where grips on the collar and sleeves matter. Tuesday to Thursday is No-Gi, in shorts and a rash guard, which is faster and closer to MMA. Our coaches include two Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts.

Your First Class

For No-Gi, wear shorts and a T-shirt or rash guard with no zippers or pockets. For Gi class, text us ahead of time if you don't have a gi yet. Class runs warm-up, technique, drilling with a partner, and optional rolling at the end.

Who It's For

People who want a martial art that works regardless of size, anyone looking for a problem-solving workout, and MMA athletes who need a ground game. Beginners are welcome in every class.
